  • Jan Figgener holds a M.Sc. in electrical engineering and economics, received from RWTH Aachen University after studying in Aachen and Istanbul.
  • Since 2017, he has been working at the Institute for Power Electronics and Electrical Drives (ISEA) at RWTH Aachen University
  • Since 2021, he has been Head of the Grid Integration and Storage System Analysis leading a research group with a focus on electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, stationary storage systems, sector coupling, and battery aging.
  • Within his work, he advises national and international ministries, agencies, and companies on the topic of battery storage
